Summary:	A Brisbane-based company is close to producing ultra-clean fuel from coal in what would be a global first. Sinc Energy is getting dozens of inquiries daily from overseas and interstate. The technology works like this: Coal is turned into gas while it's still in the ground. Above-ground the gas is turned into liquid fuel. It's still all a trial, out at Chinchilla, a farming town of about 3,500 people some 300 kilometres by road west of Brisbane, but Diet Simon has found out from a Sinc executive that fuel production is to start any day. He asked Justyn Peters, their general manager for government and environment affairs, to explain the technology.
