Roads to Recovery - Greg McHenry June Alexander - A Girl Called Tim “Forgiveness is the fragrance that the violet sheds on the heel that has crushed it. “ That is a quote of Mark Twain’s, which I first read between the foreword and introduction of a book telling of the life experiences of the author June Alexander. The book’s title is A Girl Called Tim, with the sub-title, “Escape from an Eating Disorder Hell”. I must confess to June that I have not read the book completely, and I am not sure of why Mark Twains quote was cited. June chats with a person who has read the book, a regular to “Roads”, and The Pulse, Reid Maxwell from the Geelong Mood Support Group. Four years ago, Daniel O*Keeffe went missing, and he became one of the 35,000 reported as such each year. The majority of those reported missing are found in a short time. Daniel was not. His sister Loren refused to give up the search for her brother, and this led to her establishing The Missing Persons Advocacy Network (MPAN) in 2013. As CEO of MPAN, Loren has delegated todays chat to her Mum & Dad, Lori & Des.
